Are you entertaining, encouraging and educating?

Transcript

Hi there, it’s Peter Winick. I’m the founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage. Here’s the idea that I’d like to share with you today. And this idea came from uh a podcast recording I did yesterday with Tom Ziggler, whose dad was the great Zig Ziggler. Not that Tom’s not great in his own right, but anyway, he said to me, one of the things that his father shared with aspiring thought leaders was that as a thought leader, you have an obligation to entertain, to encourage, and to educate. And I really like that. And then Tom and I got into this deeper discussion around, well, some people have a propensity to be more entertaining and less encouraging. And some people are really good educators, but it’s just not entertaining enough. And what we came away with from that is using that that encouragement, that entertainment, and that education as a framework. And then doing some reflection to say, well, what am I great at? I’m a great educator. I’m a great encourager. I’m a great entertainer. Awesome. Well, that means that there are other things that you need to develop a little bit more so that you could be the best thought leader, the best person to deliver your ideas to the folks that can benefit from it the most. So, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. As always. Thank you.
