You can’t have a viable business without products and offerings!

Hi there, it’s Peter Winick. I’m the Founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage, and here’s the idea that I’d like to share with you today—and that’s this:

You can’t have a business unless you have products.

Okay, well, that sounds fairly obvious. But if it’s so obvious, why is it that almost on a daily basis I have conversations with world-renowned authors, thought leaders, advisers, and experts telling me they want to move from where they are—which is ultimately having a practice—they need to be in the room or in the Zoom to do the things that they do to get paid and share the ideas (which they love)—to a business, to the passive income, to the scalable, licensable, productized versions of themselves.

And that’s great. That’s a great aspiration. But what you need to have in order to make that a reality is a suite of very well thought out products, offerings, and solutions—backed up by a solid go-to-market strategy, backed up by a marketing and a distribution plan.

So again, you can’t have a business without products, offerings, and solutions—and products, offerings, and solutions without all the other things that I talked about are not viable, are not going to be marketable.
