It’s time that we recognize the exceptional work of women as thought leadership practitioners. The women who create, curate and deploy thought leadership on behalf of their organizations. Therefore, I’m excited to announce that the 2021 Stevie ® Awards for Women in Business includes three categories for thought leadership.
First, Achievement in Thought Leadership. This category recognizes organizations that have made exceptional efforts to develop women as thought leadership practitioners and promote their ideas both within the organization and far beyond it.
The second category, Thought Leadership Campaign of the Year recognizes exceptional thought leadership campaigns which have been created by and for women.
The third category is an individual category — Female Thought Leader of the Year, which recognizes women who have achieved excellence in thought leadership both for themselves and the organizations that they serve.
I’m incredibly excited about these award categories. I’ve worked in the field of thought leadership for over 20 years. And I’ve seen so many women, who have hesitated to call themselves thought leadership practitioners. Or undervalued their work saying, “well, it’s not really thought leadership.” Perhaps worse yet, I’ve seen colleagues dismiss the work of women as thought leadership practitioners. It’s time that we celebrate the excellence of women in thought leadership.
