Charisma vs. Impact

Hey it’s Peter Winick. I’m the Founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage.

And here’s an idea I wanted to throw out and get your get your thoughts on today. So, pre-covid as an author, a thought leader, a speaker, etc; it was a little bit of the age of charisma. Did you have that stage presence? Could you knock them out when you came into a room? Was this electricity, this magnet that you had, as the messenger of the content that you’re developing, the thought leadership that you were developing. And that worked really really well in certain formats for certain people against a certain set of objectives.

But it appears as if things are evolving things, things are changing obviously. And what we’re hearing more, and what we think clients want more is impact, is ROI, is measurable outcome. So, what are you doing to change the way you’re delivering your work in the age of charisma to the age of impact or ROI? Right. How do you, how are you able to sit down with a client and say as a result of investing in the work we’re going to do together, here are the outcomes that are going to be different? Here’s how this benefits your business.

Here’s how there’s a direct connection between the interventions that I’m suggesting that you’re buying, that you’re invest in and your business. Whether that’s growing. Whether that’s employee engagement, customer experience, whatever the ‘it’ is. I think it’s more critical than ever to be able to speak the language of impact and ROI. And not that charisma has gone away, but you’re not going to be able to get away with sort of riding that charisma wave any longer. My two cents. Love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
