How can you transform your business from high touch low scale to low touch high scale?


Hi there! It’s Peter Winick. I’m the founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage, and here’s the idea that I’d like to share with you today, and that’s this:

Most thought leaders, experts, advisers, consultants, authors, etc., the business that they’re in when you think about it is really high touch and low scale. So keynote speaking: high touch, low scale. You can only do one at a time. Being an advisor, being a coach, being a consultant: high touch, low scale. Great. There’s nothing wrong with that business model.

But what I would suggest, what I would strongly suggest, is that every thought leader should be thinking about this question every day which is:

How do I move from high touch, low scale to low touch, high scale? What’s low touch and high scale? Taking your ideas, taking your methodologies, your frameworks, and such, and moving them into more scalable solutions.

A validated assessment tool, a video-based training system, something that you could license to large organizations so that they can get your work out to more people. So very, very different business model, but ultimately one that’s a fantastic complement to what you’re probably already doing. So again, think every day about what can I do to get myself into a business that’s more low touch and high scale. Love to hear your thoughts.
