Hey there! It’s Peter Winick. I’m the founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage.
And today, I wanted to put something out there and see where your thoughts are as usual. And that is the need, the absolute need to put systems in place before you even attempt to scale. Let me tell you what I’m talking about.
So, in my work with authors, speakers, academics, and thought leaders from around the globe, I’ve seen far too many times people attempt to scale the business, to transform from a practice to a business.
But they do so without taking a step backwards and saying, what are the systems? What are the processes? What are the operating systems and such that I need to have in place, the tools in order to do so effectively? How am I going to manage inbound leads coming, coming in? How am I going to support the marketing efforts that I have without the right metrics, and the right tools?
So, what I would suggest is in curtailing that eagerness to scale so quickly, and pause a little bit, and reflect. And think about the tools, the systems, the processes that you’re going to need. And get them in place before it’s absolutely necessary, to get ahead of that curve.
